Overview

Our department includes different laboratories for different subjects like Mechanical Measurement, Machine shop, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Vibration, CAD/CAM lab, IC Engine lab etc. and our laboratories are equipped with high quality machines, for imparting practical knowledge to our students so that they can deal with the subjects more clearly and fulfill the industry requirements.



List Of Labortories And Workshop:

Laboratories are an important component of engineering education. The laboratory courses are designed for the students to practice principles taught in the theory courses, as well as to get hands-on training on basic machines and tools. Further, the laboratory facilities are required by the students and faculty to carry out experimental research and development work. The current status of the Departmental laboratory facilities is outlined below.


Name of the Lab – Heat Transfer Lab:
Facilities–
1. Thermal conductivity of Metal Rod apparatus.
2. Thermal conductivity of insulating powder apparatus.
3. Unsteady steady state of heat transfer unit.
4. Heat pipe Demonstrator.

Name of the Lab – Theory of Machine Lab:
Facilities–
1. MotorizedGyroscope Apparatus. 2. Cam Analysis Apparatus.
3. Universal Governor Apparatus.
4. Involute Gear Tooth Profile.

Name of the Lab – Mechatronics Lab:
Facilities–
1. PLC based hydraulic circuit trainer.
2. PLC based pneumatic circuit trainer.
3. PID software
4. PLC Trainer PLC-II Analog.

Name of the Lab – Hydraulic Machinery Lab:
Facilities–
1. Hydraulic Ram.
2. Pelton Wheel Turbine test rig..
3. Kaplan Turbine Test rig.
4. Francis Turbine Test rig..

Name of the Lab – IC Engine Lab:
Facilities–
1. Computerized 1 Cylinder, 4 stroke, Diesel Engine,     Constant speed, Power 5.2 kw @ 1500rpm, 661cc with     Eddy current dynamometer.
2. 3 Cylinder, 4 stroke petrol Maruti 800, (MPFI), Power     27kw @ 5000rpm, 796cc, with Hydraulic dynamometer

2. Forced Draft Cooling Tower.
3. Cut Section of Door Refrigeration Model & Wiring Diagram.
